"One man's trash," and all of that.
I keep buying things and hoarding them. It's becoming a problem, because I only have so much room to store things, and I can't stop shopping--particularly for books, but comics too.
I don't want to sell things on Ebay. Money's nice and all, but I'm terrible at judging the condition of things, somewhat forgetful when it comes to remembering to do things like going to the post office, and all that. Plus, it just doesn't feel right, for whatever reason.
I do like to buy on Ebay, though, and that's a problem (must... resist... Darkseid's butt...). The summer after college, I ran through some money I had saved up, picking up assorted collections and whatnot on Ebay. I traded some of the "collectible" comics in for store credit, but that left some real crap behind. Some of it was so bad I torched it, including a whole bunch of Verotik comics ("Hey, let's see what we've been making fun of all this time" is really not a good idea with those--I had to scrub my eyes after that). Some of it, though, people might want--just because it isn't for me, doesn't mean it sucks.
What I thought I'd do with some of those trades would be to give them away (like John Jakala did here a few months ago with his manga giveaway). I'm throwing in some trades I bought myself, but don't think I'll reread, and some I have extra copies of for whatever reason.
Here's how it works: e-mail me with what you want, with some kind of header that I'll realize isn't spam when I see it. No strings attached (save for I may forget to mail it out promptly, so be patient).I mean, if you want to offer, sure, but don't feel obligated (unless you have copies of Martian Manhunter: American Secrets, which I've wanted to read ever since posting that Martian Manhunter thing a few months ago). Make sure you include your address, obviously.
The list, with some brief commentary:
• Green Lantern: Ganthet's Tale
•
•
• The Pitt
One of those auctions must have been from a Byrne fan. I haven't read the first three--they just didn't grab my interest. I did read The Pitt, though, mostly because I live near Pittsburgh. It didn't do anything for me.

I know it's not a trade, per se, but it needs a good home--it, along with the next two, came from that auction I mentioned earlier. I love Hurd's stuff, so I've already got this.

Look at this thing already! If I didn't have a copy, I'd have been ridiculously excited to find this in that Ebay auction. It has stories from Gabrielle Bell, Lark Pien, Zack Soto and lots of other talented cartoonists. If this one doesn't go, nothing is right in the world.
Edit: Well, Hi-Horse Omnibus V. 1 went first, along with Son of Superman. I have to say, I'm happy that one went first--people loves them some indie anthologies! And other stuff is going too.
