If this was Jeopardy, it would be the "Potpourri" category
Finally added Polite Dissent to the blogroll. I actually thought I had Scott listed before, but I'm a moron. While I'm on the subject, check out Scott's very kick ass contest, which I will enter at some point if I have the time.
Also added to the blogroll is the newly-minted Nostalgia Nook. The first two posts are good bite-sized looks at some classic comic strips written in an accessible way. I like Lena - we met at MoCCA last year, so she's already met the "reads more than superhero comics" requisite.
I spent at least two hours searching my book collection for that Krassner book I mentioned yesterday, but couldn't find it. I hate when that happens, because I never have any clue how these books seem to disappear. I'm thinking I may have brought it to the Poconos with me at some point and left it at my mother's house. At least, I'm hoping it's that. I always lend books to people, but I have about a 50/50 chance of seeing books come back to me. I don't specifically remember lending it out, but that doesn't mean that I didn't. Some books I've had to replace via loans:
Naked Lunch, On The Road, Trainspotting, About A Boy, the first four Preacher collections, The Crack-Up, A Moveable Feast. Why these books in particular, I have no idea.
Really, though, I don't mind terribly - used bookstores tend to be an inexpensive way to replace these, and I'm not concerned with the condition of the book (provided that it is still readable, of course).
Also, new The Comics Journal. So now I have something to do while I spend the afternoon getting my wife's truck fixed.
