Talk About Foreshadowing

So I'm slogging through Essential Daredevil, Volume 3 (man, are these comics dull) when this sequence caught my eye:


"Coke date"? Noooooo! Don't you know where that will lead, Karen?


Oh, Karen, you insecure, attention-starved junkie, you.

So for all of you (myself included) who thought Frank "The Tank" Miller was pulling Karen's drug addiction out of thin air in his "Born Again" storyline, think again. (I wonder if these means I should start scouring old Batman comics looking for textual support for that "I'm the goddamn Batman!" line?)
